Jefferson City, Tenn. – Anderson University dropped its opening round game against the second-seeded Eagles, falling 13-0 (5 innings) on Thursday afternoon at Vickee Kazee-Hollifield.
The Eagles used a seven-run second inning, backed by stellar pitching to propel them past the Trojans. Carson-Newman's hurler Allison Rager pitched a no-hitter in the five-inning run rule game to keep the Eagles in the winner's bracket.
Anderson will face Wingate in the elimination game today at 12:30 pm.
