Anderson, S.C.- Anderson University softball used 18 hits to score 20 runs on the day to sweep nonconference opponent Johnson C Smith, 8-0(5), in game one while winning game two, 12-1(5) on Friday afternoon at the AU Softball Complex.
Anderson moves to 16-6 overall while the Golden Bulls fall to 0-4 overall.
Notables
Junior Meghan Majeski and Mattie Hamilton each collected three hits with Hamilton scoring four runs and knocking in four Trojans. Freshman Sydney Belcher batted 3-for-5 with three RBI and three runs scored.
Sophomore Kayla Pepper (7-4) won game one giving up just two hits while striking out eight batters.
Sophomore Harlie Duncan (9-2) won game two allowing just one hit while striking out five.
