Softball Signee Earns Independent Mail Softball Player of the Year

ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University softball 2017-18 signee Kayla Pepper was recently honored as the Independent Mail Softball Player of the Year.

Pepper is a recent graduate from Crescent High School where the Tigers hurler led the 2017 team to the Class AAA State Championship game. On the season, Pepper recorded 271 strikeouts and posted a 1.18 earned run average in 219 innings of work.

During Pepper's four-year varsity career, she garnered multiple region player of the year and All-State honors. Pepper is set to join Anderson this fall and make an immediate impact.
