Men’s Soccer Lose Gut-Wrenching Double Overtime Match to No. 20 Queens; 1-0

ANDERSON, S.C –Anderson University men's soccer team suffered a gut-wrenching double overtime loss to South Atlantic Conference opponent and 20th Ranked Queens on Wednesday evening at Trojan Stadium.

With the loss, the Trojans fall to 2-4-1 overall and 1-2-1 in SAC action while the Royals move to 7-1-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play.

Anderson outshot the Royals 18(9) – 14(6) and held a 6-1 corner kick advantage.

Anderson's Gal Elyashiv was credited with five saves while Queens' Sebastian Kalk had seven stops in his seventh win.

Closing in on the final two minutes of the second overtime, Queens forward placed a perfect cross to a streaking Edmundo Robinson to end the match.

The Black and Gold continue conference action when they travel to SAC opponent Carson-Newman on Saturday. Kick-off is slated for 7:30 p.m.
