ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University baseball's midweek matchups will feature a local flavor this week, as the Trojans will travel to Due West, S.C., for a Tuesday afternoon contest against Erskine, then Limestone is slated to invade Memorial Stadium for another nonconference matchup, Wednesday afternoon.
First-pitch versus the Flying Fleet in the 77th meeting between the two programs since the 1998 season is set for 2 p.m. First-pitch at Memorial Stadium on Wednesday afternoon is set for 3 p.m.
Admission to Trojan baseball games is $5 - students, faculty and staff, along with members of the Trojan Club are admitted free of charge.

THE TROJANS
Anderson is 4-8 on the season after dropping two-of-three to Lenoir-Rhyne over the weekend.
Sophomore Matthew Overton leads the Trojan offense with a .414 batting average and also paces the squad with 13 walks on the season and has a team-high .759 slugging percentage behind a pair of home runs and four doubles. The Spartanburg, S.C., native has reached base safely in 11 straight games. Dillon Carpenter has 10 hits and has driven in nine runs, while scoring nine runs. Freshman Chandler Castleberry has reached base safely in every game this season and leads the Trojans with three home runs.
Junior Will Gee, sophomore Christian Carpenter, senior Matthew Reitz and sophomore Austin Todd each have claimed a win on the mound, with left-hander Matthew Stanley earning a save during the season-opening series with King. Gee has struck out a team-high 17 batters in 17 1/3 innings this season, with Todd fanning 16 opposing batters in 13 1/3 innings of work.
LAST TIME OUT
Using a 17-hit attack, Anderson rolled to a 19-6 win in the opening game of a South Atlantic Conference baseball doubleheader with Lenoir-Rhyne, but dropped an 11-3 decision in the nightcap, last Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.
Dillon Carpenter posted three singles and a double, while driving in four runs and scoring four times in the twin bill. Freshman catcher Tyler Berry notched a double and a single in five trips to the plate, with Overton going 2-for-5 with three walks on the day. Castleberry posted a pair of singles and blasted a two-run homer in eight at-bats. Junior Jackson Strange added a two-run homer and a pair of singles, while scoring two times in eight at-bats. Brandon Odachowski drove in four runs.
Todd captured the win in game one, while tossing two full innings of relief. The right-hander allowed one run on three hits and struck out one. Stanley absorbed the loss in the nightcap after giving up four runs on two hits, while striking out three batters and walking two.
SCOUTING THE FLYING FLEET
Erskine was tabbed to finish fourth in the Conference Carolinas' Preseason Coaches' Poll after posting an overall 25-25 record last season, including a 13-14 mark and a fifth-place finish in conference play.
The Fleet are 10-5 on the season after splitting a doubleheader with Limestone last weekend.
THE SERIES vs. ERSKINE
The Trojans and Flying Fleet have met 76 times since the 1998 season, with Erskine holding a 48-28 advantage in the all-time series. AU has won three of the last five meetings, including two at Memorial Stadium.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS
Limestone was tabbed to finish fifth in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches' Poll after posting a 22-25 overall record a year ago and finishing seventh with a 10-17 mark in conference play.
The Saints (8-7) took two-of-three from Erskine this past weekend.
Junior third baseman Chase Allen and redshirt junior shortstop Zach Piazza were named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Preseason All-Southeast Region Team in late January, while also being named as players to watch in Conference Carolinas this season, along with senior outfielder/pitcher Matt Orth.

The Trojans and Saints have met 65 times since the 1998 season, with Limestone leading the all-time series, 33-32.
