Conlin Earns SAC Volleyball Specialist of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. – After helping lead the Trojans to a perfect 3-0 week, including a pair of conference sweeps over the weekend, Anderson University standout Emily Conlin has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Specialist of the Week, as announced by the league office, Monday morning.

The Trojans have posted 11 consecutive victories and are 15-1 on the season after knocking off Newberry, Tusculum and Lincoln Memorial last week.

Conlin, a native of Glendale, Ariz., handed out 119 assists (10.82/set) in the three wins, while notching her fifth and sixth double-doubles of the season against the Wolves and LMU. The junior setter dished out a match-high 49 assists against Newberry, a match-best 33 in the sweep of Tusculum and a match-high 37 in the sweep of LMU on Saturday, while coming up with 36 digs (3.27/set) on the week.

She ranks eighth nationally in assists and continues to lead the league in assists, assists per set and aces, while ranking 16th in digs and 18th in digs per set.

The honor was Conlin's third of the season and seventh of her career.

The Trojans are slated to play host to Carson-Newman at the Abney Athletic Center, Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
