ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University setter Emily Conlin has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Specialist of the Week, while outside hitter Kaitlyn Grube has earned AstroTurf SAC Player of the Week honors, as announced by the league office, Monday afternoon.

The duo helped lead AU to an unblemished week, as the Trojans captured four victories, including a pair of conference wins. Both have been instrumental in AU's fast start, as the Trojans ran their win streak to seven matches and have equaled the 2004 team for the best start in school history, at 11-1.

Conlin has four double-doubles on the season and bookended the week with double-doubles in the four-set road wins over Mars Hill and Emmanuel, including a season-high 52 assists and a season-best 22 digs in the win over MHU. She notched four aces against Mars Hill and equaled her season-high with five aces against Emmanuel.

The junior from Glendale, Ariz., leads the conference in assists, assists per set and service aces, while ranking 12th in digs and 15th in digs per set. She handed out 147 assists last week for an 11.31 average per set, notched 11 aces and came up with 45 digs (3.46/set).

The honor was Conlin's second straight to start the season and sixth of her career.

Grube earned AstroTurf SAC Player of the Week accolades for the first time of her career after reaching double-figure kills for the seventh time this season, including three times last week, and is second in the conference in kills and sixth in kills per set.

A native of Colfax, N.C., Grube began the week by leading all players with 14 kills and adding seven digs at Mars Hill, while posting 10 kills on the strength of a .474 hitting percentage against Coker. Grube knocked down a career-high 17 kills at Emmanuel, while adding two digs and a pair of block assists.

Grube ranks 16th in the SAC in block assists and 27th in the conference in digs.

The Trojans are scheduled to get back in action, Tuesday night at Lenoir-Rhyne. First-serve versus the Bears in Hickory, N.C., is set for 7 p.m.
