Conlin Named SAC Volleyball Specialist of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. – After helping lead the Trojans to one of the fastest starts in school history, Anderson University setter Emily Conlin has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Specialist of the Week for the fifth time in her career, as announced by the league office early Tuesday afternoon.

AU has captured wins in seven of their first eight outings, as the Trojans became the first AU squad team to open the season with a 7-1 record since the 2014 team also started the season with an identical mark.

The junior All-America leads the conference in assists per set and ranks second in total assists, while standing seventh in service aces, 13th in digs and 19th in digs per set.

Conlin has recorded two double-doubles and dished out 266 assists (12.09/set), despite not playing in the latter stages in three of AU's five sweeps. She has posted match-high assist totals in seven of the eight matches and has reached the 30+ assist plateau in four contests, including a season-high 50 in the season-opening win over Indianapolis.

The Trojans open South Atlantic Conference action tonight at Mars Hill. First-serve versus the Lions is slated for 7 p.m. at Stanford Arena.
