AIKEN, S.C. – After helping lead the Trojans to a pair of wins at the USC Aiken Invitational over the weekend, sophomore setter Emily Conlin and senior outside hitter Marissa Mitter were both named to the All-Tournament Team, late Saturday night.  

Both players were Preseason First-Team All-South Atlantic Conference selections and following last weekend's Georgia College Bobcat Classic,   Saturday marked the second straight weekend that Mitter captured All-Tournament accolades.

Conlin recorded nearly 200 assists (12.12/set) and came up with 46 digs on the defensive side in four matches at Aiken, while recording match-highs in assists in all four contests and posting double-doubles in three of the matches. The Glendale, Ariz., native handed out 58 assists - just two shy of her career high – in the five-set loss to Augusta and leads the league in both total assists and assists per set. 

Mitter hammered 56 kills (3.50/set) in the four matches, including a season-high 21 in the hard-fought loss to defending region champion USC Aiken on Saturday. She also recorded three double-doubles, while adding 51 digs over the weekend and chipped in four aces and nine block assists. A native of Redondo Beach, Calif., Mitter leads the SAC in total kills and ranks fourth in both kills per set and service aces.

The Trojans will look to get back in the win column when they open their home schedule by playing host to South Atlantic Conference-opponent Lenoir-Rhyne Tuesday night. First-serve versus the Bears is set for 7 p.m.
