Track and Field Set to Open Indoor Season at JDL College Kick-off Classic

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's and women's track and field teams are set to open their respective indoor seasons in the Tar Heel State at the JDL College Kick-off Classic, Saturday at the JDL Fast Track indoor track and field facility in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Saturday's events are scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. with the men's and women's shot put, with the running events getting underway with the 60 meter hurdles at 10:15 a.m.

Led by veteran upperclassmen Jasmine Barmore, Madison Seay and JoLyn Copeland, the Trojan women are tentatively slated to compete in four events, including the 400 meter dash, 800 meter run, shot put and weight throw in their 2018-19 debut.

On the men's side, senior Anthony Aleruchi and junior Jordan Anderson headline a young corps of Trojans expected to compete in the 3,000 meter run, 400 meter dash, 60 meter dash, 800 meter run, weight throw and the shot put.
