Women’s Tennis Dominates Carson-Newman; 5-2

Jefferson City, Tenn.-Anderson University women's tennis team won in dominating fashion over SAC foe Carson-Newman, 5-2, on Tuesday afternoon at Buddy Catlett Tennis Complex. The Trojans improve to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in SAC play, while the Eagles fall to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in conference action.

"The women played great tennis today against Carson-Newman," expressed Director of Tennis Joey Eskridge. "We swept the doubles winning all three points which got us off to a great start. Then we won the first three singles that went out giving us the clinch."

"Very proud of how they competed today," added Eskridge.

The Black and Gold will travel to nonconference opponent Southern Wesleyan on Thursday. First-serve is slated for 2 pm.
