Belton, S.C.-Anderson University men's women's tennis teams fell to SAC foe Tusculum (men; 6-1 and women; 5-2) on Saturday afternoon at Leda Poore Park in Belton, S.C. The men slide to 1-1 overall and 1-1 in SAC play, while the women slip to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in conference action. Tusculum men move to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in SAC action, while Tusculum women improve to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
"Both teams fought hard, but we came up short on the guys side losing three out four of the singles matches in three sets," said Director of Tennis Joey Eskridge.
"The girls fought hard getting a huge win at number one doubles and freshman Katie Robeson won at three singles and senior Hannah Weaver won at six singles, but it just was not enough to get us the win today," said Eskridge. "Hopefully we will learn from today and it will get us ready for Limestone at the end of the next week."
