Mars Hill, N.C. – The Anderson University women's tennis team continued its solid play defeating South Atlantic Conference opponent Mars Hill, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at Hart Tennis Complex. The Trojans improve to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in conference action, while the Lions drop to 0-2 and 0-1 in SAC play.
"I am very proud of winning on the road this week," said the Director of Tennis Joey Eskridge. "Mars Hill is never an easy place to play because of conditions but we took care of business and got the job done."
"It is always great to get a road win in conference," added Eskridge.
Anderson took control of the match from the onset, winning the doubles portion in quick fashion to earn the first point the match.
The Trojans ran the table in the singles portion, winning five of the six matches in straight sets.
Anderson will host SAC foe Tusculum on Saturday. First-serve is slated for 2 pm.
