ROCK HILL, S.C.– Anderson University women's tennis senior Laura Dean has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played February 18 through February 24, the Conference announced today.
Dean, a senior from Georgetown, S.C., went undefeated in her matches last week, winning both her singles and doubles matches against USC Aiken. Dean and partner Mirna Curcic won 6-2 at No. 1 doubles. She then won a thrilling three-set match at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-7, 6-0.
This is Dean's first Player of the Week selection this season.
