ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University women's tennis duo of senior Ivey Welborn and junior Laura Dean were recognized by the South Atlantic Conference, as Dean was picked to the All-SAC Second Team singles while Welborn earned All-SAC Honorable Mention in singles action, announced by the league office on Wednesday.
At the No. 1 singles flight for the Trojans, Dean compiled an overall record of 13-5 and a 6-3 conference record. The native of Georgetown, S.C. earned as high as a No. 25 national ranking by the ITA in late March.
Welborn played the majority of her matches at the No. 2 position compiling an overall record of 7-12 and a SAC record of 3-6. The native of Anderson, S.C. has earned five postseason all-conference accolades during her career as a Trojan.
