ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson women's tennis fell, 6-3, to South Atlantic Conference foe Queens on Sunday afternoon at the AU Tennis Complex.
With the setback, the Trojans drop to 5-7 overall and 1-3 in conference play while the Royals moves to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in SAC action.
Queens took a 2-1 advantage after the doubles portion. No.1 tandem Laura Dean and Jacqueline Olivia No. 21 Yana Fleyer and Sasha Davidzenka, 8-6 to earn a point for the Black and Gold.
The Trojans picked up two more points in singles action with No. 1 Dean defeating Carlotta Nassi 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 and Cameron Blanchard defeating Hannah Lehfeldt, 6-7, 7-6, 6-2, in a three-set thriller. The Royals won the remaining matches to claim the 6-3 win.
Anderson remains at home to host SAC opponent Mars Hill on Wednesday. First-serve is slated for 1 p.m.
