Due West, S.C. – The Anderson University women's tennis team marched right through the doubles and singles portions to claim a 9-0 victory over rival Erskine on Friday morning in Due West.

Anderson improves to 17-4 overall snapping a 16 year win streak by the Flying Fleet. The last time the Trojans defeated Erskine was on Mar. 14, 2001 in a 5-4 thriller.

The win also clinched the coveted Beville Cup for the Trojans for the fifth straight year and the eighth time in the last ten years.

In the singles portion, the Flying Fleet only tallied a total of 10 games suffering their ninth loss of the season.

Anderson returns to action when it travels to Rock Hill for the South Atlantic Conference Championships. The Trojans opponent is still to be determined with first serve slated at 1 p.m. at the Rock Hill Tennis Center.
