ANDERSON, S.C. - No. 14 California (Pa) earned a 3-0 lead following
the doubles round and captured five of the six singles matches, as
Anderson University women's tennis fall 8-1, Saturday afternoon at
the AU Tennis Complex.
The setback was the Trojans' fourth of the season, as they fall to 6-4 on the year dropping their last three matches. With the win, California (Pa) improves to 3-2 on the season.
Junior Rebecca Bruning was the lone Trojan to gain a victory
today. Bruning defeated the No. 24 player in the country Lena
Dimmer, 6-1, 6-2 improving her singles record to 7-2 on the
year.
Anderson remains home on Monday when it welcomes non-conference
opponent Converse. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m. at the AU
Tennis Complex.
