ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson women's soccer seeks to upset No. 2 Wingate in the semifinal round of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament on Friday.

SERIES HISTORY
Wingate holds a 1-12 advantage over the Trojans. Anderson defeated Wingate for the first time in 2016 falling, 1-0 in the earlier match-up this season. The Trojans and Bulldogs have never met in the SAC Tournament.

ANDERSON OVERVIEW
• The Trojans advanced to semifinals after defeating Queens, 4-3 in penalty kicks.
• Junior Lauren Allan and sophomores Melanie Maddox and Emilie Toftbjerg earned All-SAC honors.
• Junior Abby Helm tallied 10 saves while punching in the winning penalty kick to help advance the Black and Gold into the semifinal round.
• Anderson is led by second year head coach Julie Davis Carlson.

WINGATE OVERVIEW
• The Bulldogs placed a total of six players on the All-SAC teams.
• Wingate defeated No. 7 Catawba, 4-1 to advance to the semifinals.
• In 2016, Wingate lost, 2-1 in the SAC Championship Match to Carson-Newman.
• Wingate is led by fifth year head coach Chip Wiggins.
