22nd-Ranked Women’s Golf Readies for Low Country Invitational

ANDERSON, S.C. – A week after claiming a second-place finish at the Battle at Hilton Head, the Anderson University women's golf team is slated to compete at the Low Country Invitational, Monday and Tuesday, at the Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C.

The two-day, 36-hole event will be hosted by Wingate and featured 11 teams on a par 71, 5884 yard course a year ago.

The nationally-ranked Trojans got their spring slate underway a week ago by finishing second at Hilton Head, with freshman Victoria Hall and senior Tiffany Elam each claiming a top-five finish.

Hall finished fourth at Hilton Head, while Elam finished in a tie for fifth and junior Kate Hill shared ninth place. Freshman Kerrington Lamb claimed a share of 37th place, with sophomore Anna Freeman finishing in a tie for 53rd place.

Through five tournaments, Hills leads the team with a 75.70 stroke average and posted a low-round 68 at the AU Invitational in September. Freeman owns a 75.80 stroke average, with Hall (75.90) and Elam (76.00) close behind.

Hill won the AU Invitational and has finished in the top-10 in four of her five tournaments, while Freeman, Hall and Lamb have each recorded three top-10 finishes. Elam claimed a third-place finish at the AU Invitational, with Makalyn Poole notching 10th place.
