Women’s Golf Readies for First-Ever Appearance at North Georgia’s LeeAnn Noble Memorial

ANDERSON, S.C. – On the heels of posting a school-record low-round 291 on the final day of last week's Patsy Rendleman Invitational, the Anderson University women's golf team will look to keep building momentum when the Trojans compete in Monday and Tuesday's Fifth Annual LeeAnn Noble Memorial.

The two-day, 36-hole event will be hosted by North Georgia at the Achasta Golf Club.

Lee University's Haverly Harold earned individual medalist honors at last year's tourney with a two-day 143 to lead the Flames to their second team title in three years. Lee holds the tournament record for both 18 holes (290) and 36 holes (586), while Montevallo's Elaine Wood posted a tournament record 68 in 2016.

After winning the AU Invitational in September, the Trojans finished fourth at last week's Patsy Rendleman Invitational, with junior Kate Hill leading the way in both tournaments. The Clemson, S.C., native fired a 68 during the final round of the AU Invite and carded a second-round 69 last Tuesday, as the Trojans posted program record scores in back-to-back events.

Hill finished tied for sixth place at the Patsy Rendleman, while sophomore Anna Freeman shared of 11th place. Freshman Victoria Hall finished in a tie for 14th, with senior Tiffany Elam claiming a tie for 20th. Freshman Kerington Lamb finished in a tie for 52nd place.

Through four rounds, Hill leads the team with a 72.75 stroke average, while Freeman is close behind with a 73.75 stroke average. Elam holds a 75.50 stroke average and Hall has recorded a 76.50 average.
