Women’s Golf Standout Kate Hill Notches Pair of Top 10 Finishes over the Summer

ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University standout women's golfer Kate Hill notched a pair of top-10 finishes in amateur championships around the Palmetto State during the month of June – claiming second place at the Carolina Women's Amateur and finishing in a tie for eighth place at the WSCGA Championship less than two weeks later.

Hill, a rising junior, was one of only two players to post a below-par score at the 92nd Carolinas Women's Amateur, as the Clemson native carded a 1-under-par three-day total 215. She finished four shots off the pace set by tourney champion Anna Redding, of Concord, N.C., on the par-72 6,109 yard Green Valley Country Club Course.

Hill carded a three-round 13-over-par 229 and shared eighth place at the Women's South Carolina Golf Association (WSCGA) Amateur Championship in mid-June, which was hosted at the par-72 6,057 yard The Members Club at Woodcreek course.
