Mollenhauer Named to the Google Cloud Academic All-America DII Women’s Basketball Team

ANDERSON, S.C. Anderson University women's basketball junior Alexy Mollenhauer has been named to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Women's Basketball First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Women's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Fourteen of the 15 members of the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Women's Basketball teams have at least a 3.90 G.P.A., with five student-athletes maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA. The five members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.93.

The junior guard has a perfect 4.00 GPA in English/secondary English education (9-12). The Lindale, Texas native has led the Trojans to a perfect 20-0 conference record, 27-game winning streak, SAC regular season title, SAC tournament title, and hosting rights for the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional to be held March 15-18. Mollenhauer earned SAC Player of the Year honors and was named Tournament MVP.

The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Division II Academic All-America® teams program.
