ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University guard Cassie Ketchum was honored as the Elite 20 Award winner for women's basketball, presented by the South Atlantic Conference on Saturday, March 9. This is the second consecutive year that Ketchum has earned the award.
This award honors the student-athlete with the top cumulative grade-point average (based on a minimum of 48 credit hours) in each of the league's 20 team championship sports.
Ketchum, a redshirt junior from Orlando, Fla. has a perfect 4.00 GPA while majoring in kinesiology/pre-physical therapy.
In this season's campaign, Ketchum has more than doubled her previous seasons' production, totaling 166 points, 54 rebounds, 42 assists, 10 steals, and two blocks. Anderson is the No. 1 seed heading into Sunday's Pilot Flying J SAC tournament final game and ranked nationally in two polls.
