Anderson, S.C. – Anderson University Athletics is inviting everyone to help Anderson University and Wingate University as they unite to celebrate the kickoff of Black History Month this Saturday when they square off for a South Atlantic Conference matchup at the Abney Athletic Center.
February is designated as Black History Month, honoring the triumphs and struggles of African Americans throughout U.S. history, including the civil rights movement and their artistic, cultural, political and athletic achievements.
As part of the celebration, free t-shirts will be given out (as supplies last), a video tribute will be played at halftime and other special guests will be in attendance.
The women's basketball game is slated to tip-off at 2 pm while the men's basketball game will begin approximately at 4 pm.
