Trojans Hold Steady at No. 1 in the D2SIDA Southeast Region Media Poll

DURANGO, Colo. – The Anderson University women's basketball remains in the top spot in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, announced by the regional committee on Monday.

The Trojans defeated SAC opponents Mars Hill and Queens at home to push their conference record to 11-0 while winning their 15th straight game. Anderson continues to hold the highest ranked team honors from the SAC. Wingate moves up to the second slot while Carson-Newman slips to the fifth position. Tusculum remains in the sixth spot while Lincoln Memorial moves into the poll at No. 9.

The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its fifth year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.

Anderson travels to SAC opponent Tusculum on Wednesday. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
