Trojans Remain Slotted No. 1 in the D2SIDA Southeast Region Media Poll

DURANGO, Colo. – The Anderson University women's basketball remains in the top spot in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, announced by the regional committee on Monday.

The Trojans defeated SAC opponent Catawba at home to push their conference record to 9-0 while winning their 13th straight game. Anderson continues to hold the highest ranked team honors from the SAC. Carson-Newman moves into a T-3rd with Wingate while Tusculum and Newberry slip to No. 6 and No. 8, respectively.

The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its fifth year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.

Anderson remains at home and will welcome SAC opponent Mars Hill on Wednesday. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
