Trojans Hold Steady at No. 1 in the D2SIDA Southeast Region Media Poll

DURANGO, Colo. – The Anderson University women's basketball remain in the top spot in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, announced by the regional committee on Monday.

The Trojans defeated SAC opponents Carson-Newman and Newberry on the road to push their conference record to 8-0 while winning their 12th straight game. Anderson continues to hold the highest ranked team honors from the SAC. Newberry, Carson-Newman, Tusculum and Wingate are three, t-four and six, respectively.

The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its fifth year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.

Anderson returns home to welcome SAC opponent Catawba on Saturday. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m.
