Trojans Take over Top Spot in the D2SIDA Southeast Region Media Poll

 

DURANGO, Colo. – The Anderson University women's basketball took over the top spot in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, announced by the regional committee on Monday.

The Trojans defeated SAC opponents Wingate and Coker on the road to push their conference record to 6-0 while winning their 10th straight game. Anderson continues to hold the highest ranked team honors from the SAC. Newberry, Carson-Newman and Wingate remain three, four and five, respectively.

The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its fifth year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.

Anderson continues its four-game road swing when it travels to SAC opponent Carson-Newman on Wednesday. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
