Women’s Basketball Garners Recognition in National Polls

ANDERSON, S.C. - The Anderson women's basketball team is riding a six game win streak and has recently garnered national recognition as the Trojans are ranked No. 23 in the Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, and are receiving votes in the Women's Basketball Coaches (WBCA) Poll.

Anderson (8-2), which is tied for the lead in the South Atlantic Conference with an unblemished 3-0 record won its sixth straight win on Saturday afternoon with a victory over SAC opponent Lenoir-Rhyne.

The Trojans jumped two spots to No. 2 in the D2SIDA Regional Rankings after sitting in the fourth slot a week ago.

Anderson faces off with SAC foe Lincoln Memorial tomorrow evening before taking an eleven day break. Trojans will finish up a three-game homestand when they host nonconference opponent Auburn Montgomery on Sunday, Dec. 30.
