Women’s Basketball Slotted Eighth in the D2SIDA Southeast Region Media Poll

DURANGO, Colo. – The Anderson University women's basketball has worked its way back into the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, announced by the regional committee on Monday.

Anderson was ranked No. 6 in the Preseason poll before taking a two-week hiatus. After winning both South Atlantic Conference contests this week, the Trojans landed in the No. 8 slot. Wingate is the highest rated team from the SAC at No. 2 with Carson-Newman in the third position. Newberry claims the fifth spot while Tusculum drops from number four to 10.

The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its fifth year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.

Anderson returns to action on Saturday when it host nonconference opponent and sixth regionally ranked Lander. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m.
