RALEIGH, N.C. – The 17th-ranked North Carolina State Basketball team used a huge third quarter to run away from the Trojans, 87-53, in its season opening exhibition Thursday evening at Reynolds Coliseum.  

KEY STATS

  • The Wolfpack outrebounded the Trojans 57 – 35 with a 27-8 differential on the offensive glass
  • AU senior Ace Easter poured in 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting and 5-of-10 from the floor
  • AU junior Alexy Mollenhauer pulled down a team high nine rebounds while chipping in six points
  • Anderson shot 38.3% on 23-of-60 shooting
  • North Carolina State shot 39.8% on 33-of-83 shooting
  • The Wolfpack placed four players in double figures with Grace Hunter posting a double-double (13 pts, 11 rbs)
