Razor Promoted to Associate Head Women’s Basketball Coach

ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson University head women's basketball coach Jonathon Barbaree has announced that Assistant Women's Basketball Coach Nicole Razor has been named Associate Head Women's Basketball Coach for the Trojans.

"I am really excited for Nicole and our women's basketball program to announce this promotion," said Barbaree. "Nicole has been such an instrumental part of the program taking on a great deal of responsibility. Nicole helps each young lady on the team to grow on and off the court. I know our program would not run as smoothly without her on my staff."

Razor will be beginning her third year with the Trojans while being promoted from the graduate assistant position to the assistant coach role on May 8, 2017.

Razor, a 2015 graduate and member of the women's basketball program at Elon earned the teams most improved award in 2013 before being plagued by injuries throughout her career. During her senior year, Razor assisted in the preparation of scouting reports and scouting edits for game preparation.

As a student-athlete, Razor carried a 3.33 grade point average majoring in Psychology with a minor in Exercise Science. Razor earned a spot on Elon's President's Academic List in 2015 and was a recipient of the Phillips-Perry Black Excellence Award.

Razor took part in the "So You Want To Be A Coach" program, held by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) which gave prospective coaches a way to network with current coaches from across the country.

Most recently, Razor earned her Masters in Business Administration from Anderson in May of 2018.
