ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University women's basketball forward Alexis Dillard was named AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week for games played Feb. 19 - Feb. 25, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
In two winning efforts against SAC opponents Tusculum and Coker, Dillard averaged 13 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the floor and averaged 11.5 rebounds for the week. The native of Taylors, S.C. recorded her eighth and ninth double-double of the season and 21st of her career.
On Dillard's fifth rebound against Coker, she became Anderson's all-time leading rebounder with 901 total rebounds finishing the game with 12 boards (908). The top-spot was held by Trojan standout Deidra Langston's 900 total rebound career effort from 2003-07.
Anderson earned the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 Tusculum in the quarterfinal round of the SAC Championship on Wednesday. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at the Abney Athletic Center.
