Carson-Newman Outpaces Trojans; 99-61

JEFFERSON CITY, TENN. – The Anderson University women's basketball team could not keep pace with Carson-Newman falling to the top-ranked team in the South Atlantic Conference, 99-61, on Wednesday evening at the Holt Fieldhouse.

With the setback, Anderson drops to 13-8 overall and 7-6 in conference action while Carson-Newman improves to 21-1 overall and 13-1 SAC play.

Anderson places three players in double-figures with sophomore Cassie Ketchum scoring a career-high 16 points. Graduate student Alexis Dillard dropped in 12 points on 3-of-5 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line. Sophomore Alexy Mollenhauer netted 11 points while pulling down a team-high nine rebounds.

Carson-Newman placed four players in double-figures with Haris Price scoring a game-high 20 points while dishing out a game-high seven assists. Kelci Marosites netted 19 points including five 3-points baskets while Mika Wester chipped in 15 points for the Eagles.

-Carson-Newman outscored the Trojans 56-30 in the second half of action.
-The Eagles attempted 30 more shots than the Black and Gold.
-AU's Ketchum scored a career-high 16 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field, including 3-of-6 from behind the arc.
