Trojans Overwhelm Mars Hill; 109-42

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University women's basketball team dominated play over South Atlantic Conference opponent Mars Hill claiming a, 109-42, victory on Wednesday evening at the Abney Athletic Center.

With the win, Anderson moves to 11-5 overall and 5-3 in conference action while Mars Hill falls to 1-16 overall and 0-9 SAC play.

Anderson junior Ace Easter paced the Trojans with team-high 19 points including a career-high eight rebounds. Easter also dished out three assists while recording two steals and a block in just 16 minutes of action. Graduate student Alexis Dillard and sophomore Alexy Mollenhauer each scored 16 points. Dillard ripped down 10 rebounds to record her sixth double-double of the season. Junior Erika Martin continued her solid play chipping in 11 points while grabbing six rebounds.

Mars Hill placed two players in double-figures with Mariah Johnson scoring a game-high 21 points. Shayla Smith chipped in 11 points while grabbing a team-high eight rebounds for the Lions.

After a back and forth first period that featured three ties and six lead changes, the Trojans exploded over the last three periods. During that span, Anderson outscored Mars Hill 85-21.
