INSTITUTE, W. Va. -- Deidra Langston scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Anderson University to a 79-45 victory over Davis & Elkins in the Red Roof Invitational Friday night at West Virginia State. Anderson, 2-1 overall, jumped out to a 38-19 halftime lead and never looked back. Langston, a senior from Gainesville, Ga., was 10-for-16 from the field and also had three of Anderson's 15 steals. Nine of her rebounds were off the offensive glass. Latrice Thomas and Genia Holbrook added 10 points apiece for the Lady Trojans, who held their second consecutive opponent to less than 50 points. Anderson shot 43 percent from the field while limiting Davis & Elkins to 38 percent. Davis & Elkins was led by Courtney Pawlak with 11 points. She was the lone Davis & Elkins player in double figures. Led by Langston's 15 boards, Anderson doubled up Davis & Elkins on the boards, 53-25. Anderson scored 32 points off 27 turnovers by Davis & Elkins. Anderson will play host West Virginia State at 2 p.m. Saturday. Box: Anderson 79, Davis & Elkins 45
