ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson University softball standout Kasey Grant has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for District III, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.
Grant started all 50 games at second base/leadoff spot for the Trojans. The native of Midway, Ala. batted .331 while stealing 18 bases out of 19 attempts. Grant also was hit-by-pitch on eight occasions which ranks T-2nd in Anderson's all-time season records for that category.
In the classroom, Grant carries a 4.0 GPA while majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Business, as she has been named to the Anderson University Dean's List following every semester of her collegiate career. The sophomore is also a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society and a member of Gamma Beta Phi, a service-based honor society.
