Trojans Remain No.10 in NCAA Southeast Region Poll

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA released the second round of Division II Softball Region Rankings Wednesday, with Anderson University (34-14) positioned No. 10 in the Southeast Region.

With the scheduled season wrapped up, the Trojans are tenth in the region behind two league schools. The University of North Georgia takes the top slot, followed by Armstrong State University in second and Limestone College sitting in the third slot. The South Atlantic Conference's top representative is held by Carson-Newman University in fourth slot and Lenoir-Rhyne University in fifth position, followed by Young Harris College in the sixth spot. Pfeiffer University is ranked seventh, with Flagler College holding down the eighth spot. Georgia College remains in the ninth position in front of the Trojans who round out the top-10.

The final version of this poll is used to determine the five at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament, beginning May 12. The region has three automatic bids, given to the tournament champions for the Peach Belt Conference, SAC and Conference Carolinas, and the five remaining slots are filled by the final version of this poll.
