Trojan Softball Takes Practice to the Next Level

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University softball team took an amazing opportunity to enhance not only its off season but its lifelong skills by taking part in a training exercise in both leadership and physical skills run by former SEALs who were also former athletes.

The Stonewall Solutions, LLC. provide a team building, team culture, and mental skills instruction to help instill a team-first mind, leadership and failure analyzing.

Head softball coach Tommy Hewitt has been in the business long enough to know how important it is in life and for a team to have clear leadership as well as each individual person be given the proper tools to overcome obstacles and diversity.

"My hope is to bring them closer together as a group and to find out more about themselves," said Hewitt. "I want them to gain insight on what it means to work together as a team and not as individuals".

The Trojans have reached the NCAA Tournament three out of the past four seasons while also reaching the 40-win plateau during that same span.

Anderson's official competitive season does not began until Feb. 1 when the Black and Gold travel to Southern Wesleyan. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m.
