CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Anderson University track and field teams opened their outdoor schedule last weekend at the Charlotte 49er Classic.
Junior Abigail Bozarth finished 50th in the women's 5,000 meter run in a time of 18:59.46, with classmate Maddie Buddenberg claiming 87th in a time of 20:05.92.
Freshman Philip Quillen crossed the finish line in a time of 15:38.19 to claim 63rd place in the men's 5,000 meter run, while the freshman duo of Matthew Burgess (4:20.15) and Riley Dixon (4:26.31) finished 127th and 143rd, respectively in the men's 1,500 meter run.
The Trojans will get back in action this weekend at South Carolina's Weems Baskin Invitational in Columbia, S.C.
