Trojans Earn Seven Seed In NCAA Southeast Regional

 

Indianapolis - Anderson University men's tennis has earned a bid to the NCAA Division II men's tennis tournament. The 20th-ranked Trojans are the number seven seed in the NCAA Southeast Regional, taking on second-seeded and sixth-ranked Flagler in the opener Monday, May 9. The opening round of the regional will take place in St. Augustine, Fla., hosted by Flagler. The Trojans are 16-6 overall, with a 10-2 record in league play. Anderson fell to Wingate in the South Atlantic Conference Tournament semifinals.

Flagler is the number two seed and will be hosting half of the regional. Wingate and North Georgia is the other opening-round match. The two winners will play each other Tuesday in Florida. The other half of the regional sees top-seeded and host Columbus State facing eighth-seeded Belmont Abbey in the opener, while Lander and Queens also face off in Columbus in the opening round.
