ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University freshman Juan Sengariz and sophomore Katie Robeson have been named the Jimmy John's Female and Male Athletes of the Week.
Robeson, a women's tennis player from Lexington, Ky., went 2-0 in singles play and 1-0 in doubles action to help lead the Trojans to victories over South Atlantic Conference opponents Limestone and Coker. The Black and Gold are currently (12-6, 5-3 SAC).
Sengariz, a men's tennis player from Santander, Spain, went 2-0 in singles play and 1-1 in doubles action. Sengariz has not lost a singles conference match this season. The Trojans are currently ranked No. 37 and are (10-5, 6-2 SAC).
Each week, one male and one female student-athlete are honored as the Jimmy John's Athlete of the Week for his or her performance in competition, in the classroom, or in the community.
