ROCK HILL, S.C.– Anderson University men's tennis sophomore Spencer Brown has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played February 18 through February 24, the Conference announced today.
Brown, a sophomore from Spartanburg, S.C., had to step out of his comfort zone last week and take the roll of No. 1 on the Anderson tennis team. He stepped up to the challenge winning both singles and doubles at No. 1 versus USC Aiken. Brown and partner Adam Kush were victorious at No.1 doubles, and Brown picked up a hard fought three-set win at No. 1 singles.
This is Brown's first Player of the Week selection this season.
