Trojans Earn Seventh Straight Victory with 4-0 Win over Catawba

Greenville, S.C. – Anderson University men's soccer won its seventh straight contest, defeating South Atlantic Conference opponent Catawba, 4-0, on Saturday evening at Legacy Early College Field.

With the win, the Trojans improve to 10-4-1 overall and 5-3-1 in SAC play, while the Indians drop to 6-8 overall and 2-7 in conference action.

The Trojans scored an early first half goal in the fourth minute of action, when junior Harry Ward bicycled kicked a short shot past the keeper.

Anderson went into halftime with a 1-0, before exploding for three goals in the second half.

Senior Colin Burris benefitted from a miskick by the goalie to score his third goal of the season. Freshman Ben Lemen and junior Shalev Keter both added a goal apiece to put the Indians away.

Anderson outshot Catawba 18(9) – 9(3) while winning the corner kick advantage, 5-3.

BETWEEN THE POSTS

Anderson's Gal Elyashiv was credited with three saves , while recording his third clean sheet in a row and seventh of the season.

Catawba's keeper Luc Denisselle had five stops on the evening.
