Anderson, S.C. - Anderson University men's soccer head coach Michael Zion has released his 2019 schedule.
The Trojans finished 11-6-3 overall during the 2018 campaign with a South Atlantic Conference Tournament championship match appearance and an NCAA bid. The Trojans won their last eight of 10 contests, including a 3-2 victory over powerhouse Limestone in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to nationally ranked Lander, 1-0, to end an outstanding season.
The 2019 men's soccer schedule features six non-conference matches and 10 SAC matches with eight of the contests being played at home.
Zion on the 2019 schedule: "The 2019 schedule is well balanced between home and away matches. We will play eight matches at Trojan Stadium, including some big matchups against top rivals in conference and in region. It will be a tough and challenging schedule but that's what we are looking for. Our strength of schedule was 21st in the country according to Hero Sports in 2018. We think we have put together another challenging fixture list for 2019. We (staff and players) are excited for the challenges ahead."
