ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University men's soccer sophomore Gal Elyashiv was honored by The South Atlantic Conference as the AstroTurf Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for matches played during the week of Oct. 9 through Oct. 15
Elyashiv, a native of Rishon Le Zion, Israel, recorded eight saves for the Trojans in a 3-1 over Wingate and six in a scoreless double-overtime draw with Tusculum. In almost 200 minutes, the sophomore goalkeeper had a save percentage of .933.
The Black and Gold step outside of conference play tonight to host nonconference rival Erskine. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
