Calabria and Elyashiv Garner SAC All-Tournament Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. – A pair of Anderson University men's soccer players were named to the South Atlantic Conference All-Tournament team after reaching the SAC semifinals, played over the weekend at Manchester Meadows in Rock Hill. The Trojans fell, 2-0, in the semifinal match to the No. 7 seed Queens Royals.

Senior Josh Calabria and freshman Gal Elyashiv were both named to the 2017 All-SAC Tournament team announced by the SAC office on Sunday afternoon.

Calabria, a native of Canberra, Australia started all 18 games for the Black and Gold as a defender. Calabria scored five goals on the year, including a goal in the quarterfinal round to help the Trojans advance to the semifinals. The senior defender also recorded two assists on the year.

Elyashiv, a native of Rishon Le Zion, Israel started 15 contests missing three due to an injury. The freshman keeper recorded a total of 66 saves on the season with 15 saves coming in the SAC Championships. Elyashiv posted an overall record of 9-5-1.

Anderson finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 9-8-1 while posting a 4-5-1 record in conference play.
