ANDERSON, S.C. -- As the mens soccer squad prepares to defend its home pitch tomorrow night in a conference match versus Barton, the teams success is reflected in the NCAA's mens soccer statistics released earlier this week. The Trojans (5-0, 1-0 Conference Carolinas) are one of 10 unbeaten DII teams in the nation and rank fourth in the country in scoring offense, notching 4.2 goals per match. AU's defense is also stepping up to the challenge, surrendering an average of 0.97 goals a game to rank 50th nationally. On the individual side, senior Paulo Passini is third in the NCAA in goals per game, netting 1.4 per contest. Sophomore Lasse Sohrweide joins Passini are in the top 20 in points per game, with Passini standing fifth (3.0) and Sohrweide ranking 20th with 2.4 points per contest. Junior Adrien Moufflet is 21st in the country in assists, handing out 0.75 a match.
