Trojans Get First Victory Of The Season

TIGERVILLE, S.C. -- Tolu Popoola and Michael Zion both had one goal and one assist to lead Anderson College to a 3-2 victory over North Greenville Monday night. The victory was the first of the season for Anderson, 1-3 overall. Zion, a sophomore from Spartanburg, S.C., opened the scoring 10 minutes into the match. After North Greenville got the equalizer, Onger, a freshman from Abilene, Tx., scored off an assist from Popoola to give the Trojans a 2-1 lead. After North Greenville managed to tie the match at 2 late in the first half, Popoola tallied the game winner 15 minutes into the second half. Anderson will play host to Lander Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Smethers Field.
